Creative Play and Drama

Candyland encourages our children to be creative, a stimulating environment through the exploration of free play, through a variety of hands on learning centers such as blocks, dramatic play, puppet theater, puzzles, water, sand and educating manipulative toys.

Science

Here at Candyland Child Learning Center children can uncover the concept of science.  By constructing rather than instructing, such as earth, solar system, air water, weather, out growing bodies, matter and energy.

Academics

Candyland has developed a curriculum that is a mixture of traditional and whole language.  Our teachers are committed to developing strong phonics and reading skills as well as successful writing skills and pencil control.  Children will discover the world of math through activities such as sorting, comparing, and sequence.  Teachers encourage children to participate in "Show and Tell" to develop public speaking and strong self-confidence. Your children will develop the readiness skills that will help prepare them for success in Kindergarten and beyond.

Expressive Movement Candylands playground encourages the children's large gross motor development in a number of ways.  The children enjoy fitness through playing on our specially designed equipment that the children love.  All our equipment is safe and approved by the State. All year round the children will enjoy a variety of outdoor activities that will stimulate physical motor development. Computers Candyland provides the children with computer class where children develop academic skills through hands on experience. Here your child will acquire skills such as eye-hand coordination, visual perception and problem solving.  All children will be exposed to computers on a daily basis, giving them the opportunity to enjoy our toddler and pre-school software.  Early introduction to computers is crucial to your child's academic future.

Security & Safety

Candyland's security and safety system offers peace of mind to our families.  Here at Candyland the security and safety of your child is of the utmost importance.  The children are only released to parents and those individuals listed on the child's pick up authorization form.  All classrooms have observation windows.  We are a State Licensed Pre-School that strongly believes in rigid enforcement of state agency regulations, and in many instances we hold even high, more stringent standards.  All families have their own personal key code to allow parents to enter on their own during school hours.  This gives parents and staff an additional sense of security.  We are committed to giving the very best to our families.
